Len Hubbard

Len was a boiler man at the Hanworth plant for a number of years.

He served in the Royal Engineers and was a member of the Royal British Legion. Apart from being actively (and very successfully) involved in the Poppy Appeals each year, Len enjoyed many happy hours at his local branch of the British Legion in Twickenham.  He had been a widower for some years and often joined friends there for a few drinks, a hot meal and a chat.

As Len had no immediate family, it was good to see so many friends at his funeral where the British Legion had honoured him with a standard bearer and laid a poppy wreath on his coffin.

We’ll miss your hearty laugh, Len!
