It is with regret that I have to inform you that my father Leslie known as Les Streamer sadly passed away peacefully on the 23rd November 2006.
Dad worked for Job's firstly in High Wycombe from 1961 to 1963 then at Tilehurst, Reading from 1963 until he retired in 1985. He had done the same round in the Overdown Road area of Tilehurst for the full time he was there.
A lot of people knew him and he will be sadly missed by myself, my wife and also my sister and her husband as well as his 9 grandchildren & partners and also 9 great grandchildren.
He had fond memories of the time he spent with Job's and all the friends he made whilst there and treasured his long service award and medal which I will now treasure for him.
I enclose a photo of Dad taken last Christmas. He hadn't changed a lot since the Job's days and I am sure a lot of people will recognize him. I would really appreciate it if you could publish this on your website and Dad would be quite proud as he learnt to surf the web in the last couple of years.
His great love was reading books and we reckon he read about 40,000 in his lifetime and was still enjoying this up until a week before he died.
Once again many thanks as I know Dad felt that Job's was just a big happy family and even in later years spoke of his many happy days there.
