Job's Wholesale
The Wholesale Department of Job's was set up in May 1980 to meet the growing requirements of supermarkets to have dedicated and specialised deliveries of refrigerated fresh milk. The success of the Wholesale Department was phenomenal and two premises were quickly outgrown before it was moved to a 10,000 square foot cold store at Sunbury, which had ample parking for the growing fleet of refrigerated vehicles.
From small beginnings Job's Wholesale built up a considerable business with many customers, including J.Sainsbury and Marks & Spencer enjoying reliable deliveries of top quality fresh milk and cream. The vehicles operated Monday to Saturday covering the majority of South and South East England including London.

It was a continual 24 hour operation, with milk being received from the Plant at Hanworth in the morning before being order picked during the afternoon and well into the evening. At 10pm the night loaders would begin work to load all lorries ready for an early morning start so that supermarkets could have their milk cool and fresh.
